In addition, the dataset contains:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><p><span>34 vulnerability indicators (as percentage and standardised values)<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p><span>Social vulnerability to flooding (standardised index and dimensions of vulnerability)<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p><span>Percentage of households exposed to flooding - provided for any type of flooding (coastal, river, surface water combined) and for different return periods (1 in 10; 1 in 25/30; 1 in 200; and 1 in 200 years including the impacts of climate change<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p><span>Flood disadvantage (standardised index for different types of flooding and varying return periods)<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p><span>Geographical location (rurality, coastal and inland areas are classified)<\/span><\/p><\/li><\/ul><p><span>The dataset was produced as part of the Mapping Flood Disadvantage in Scotland project commissioned by the Scottish Government in 2015. The project aim was to provide a spatial assessment of social vulnerability to flooding and flood disadvantage in Scotland, to enable local authorities, service providers and other agencies to better target work around flood resilience and response, and in particular to assist local authorities in meeting their duties under the Flood Risk Management (Scotland) Act 2009.<\/span><\/p><p><span /><\/p><p><span>A detailed methodology document is available.
