The <\/SPAN>Scottish Government<\/SPAN><\/A> maintains digital boundaries for the designated areas of Scotland's National Parks<\/SPAN> for the provision of relevant statistics and to support policy development<\/SPAN>. Scotland currently has two National Parks<\/SPAN>: <\/SPAN>Loch Lomond and the Trossachs<\/SPAN> National Park established in 2002, and <\/SPAN>Cairngorms <\/SPAN>National Park established in 2003 (extended in 2010)<\/SPAN>.<\/SPAN><\/P> Scotland's National Parks <\/SPAN>aim<\/SPAN> to deliver better management of areas of outstanding natural and cultural heritage<\/SPAN>, and serve as models of sustainable development<\/SPAN>. This is achieved by the conservation and enhancement of natural and cultural heritage, promotion of sustainable use of natural resources, promotion of public understanding and enjoyment (including recreation), and promotion of sustainable social and economic development of the communities of the area<\/SPAN>.<\/SPAN><\/P><\/DIV><\/DIV><\/DIV>",
